HIFU uses ultrasound to create heat at a deep level in the skin. When the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage causing the body to try repair them. This triggers a wound healing response. While this sounds concerning, the damage actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen and elastin for overall tightening of the tissue. The increase in collagen provides a tighter, firmer and smoother skin appearance. There is no damage done to the upper layer of the skins surface.

HIFU treatment results develop progressively over 8 – 12 weeks. HIFU can be treated on the face 8 weeks apart and on the body 4 weeks apart.

HIFU can be used to target specific areas of the face, such as the neck, jowls, and brow, to tighten sagging skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to enhance the appearance of the cheeks and jawline, giving patients a more defined and youthful look.

As an alternative to fat freezing, HIFU works to heat and destroy subcutaneous fat. The targeted fat cells are then gradually flushed away via the body’s natural removal process. In addition to burning fat, HIFU body contouring also stimulates collagen contraction to ensure smooth, firm results. 

It is a non-invasive technique that uses the body's own generated collagen fibres as a stimulation, whereas Botox and fillers involve injecting foreign substances to achieve the same results. Hence HIFU is more natural and long-lasting when compared to Botox and fillers

• Avoid Injectables 2 weeks before and after the treatment
• Avoid facial peels, microdermabrasion and laser to the area 4 weeks before the treatment
• Avoid excessive sun exposure 48hrs prior to treatment
• You can’t get HIFU if you are Pregnant or Breastfeeding
• If you have dental implants or metal plates in the treatment area please let me know prior to your appointment
• You can’t get HIFU if you are taking acne or skin thinning medication
• You can’t get HIFU if you have open sore, acne or skin infection
• If you have had face threads you can’t get HIFU

• It's normal for the treated area to feel warm
• The treated area may be flushed, red and feel tingly
• Do not wax or threat the treated area for 5 days
• Do not laser the treated area for 2 weeks
• Do not exfoliate the skin for 3 days
• Avoid excessive exercise for 24hrs
• Avoid hot bath, sauna and massage for 24hrs
• Avoid Caffeine and ALCOHOL FOR 48hrs after treatment
• Drink more water than usual
• Take a Collagen supplement
• Use a hydrating mask for the next 3-5 days
• Apply SPF 30 daily. Avoid sun burning for 2 weeks
• If your skin is feeling hot or sensitive, apply Aloe Vera or a cold compress to the area
